Adrian Evans MCIAT CMaPS ACIOB
Adrian joined P+HS in May 2004, bringing extensive experience as a senior technologist. Since joining the practice Adrian has worked on a wide range of projects from innovation centres to specialist mental health facilities. He is particularly experienced in the delivery of primary care buildings and has completed six buildings for one client alone.
Adrian has been responsible for delivering some of the Practice’s most complex, challenging and award winning projects including the £19m Houghton Primary Care Centre; the first, and only, UK healthcare building to achieve BREEAM Outstanding. In 2011 Adrian was awarded the CIAT Open Award for technical Excellence for his work at Blaydon Leisure and Primary Care Centre. He is currently leading the technical delivery of St Benedict’s Hospice in Sunderland.
In total, Adrian has completed ten P21/partnering projects with a collective value of over £65m. Adrian has a thorough understanding of the NEC form of contract and has fully embraced the partnering ethos appreciating the benefits of this collaborative approach to construction delivery.
The success of many of Adrian’s projects has been acknowledged widely, winning ‘Best Healthcare Building’ for Washington Primary Care Centre at the 2010 Local Authority Building Control Building Excellence Awards, and, more recently, at the 2012 BRE Awards where Houghton Primary Care Centre, won Best Healthcare Building.
