Fortis Developments' resubmitted plans for a residential scheme at Furness Quay have been unanimously approved by the planners, subject to the execution of a section 106 agreement. The development, to be known as Fortis Quay, will provide over 750 luxury apartments in the hugely popular Salford Quays area.

Thought it might be interesting to show the new FMRI being delivered to James Cook University Hospital. The scanner is a 3T Magnetom Trio A Tim system provided by Siemens and weighs in at 13 tons. It is being provided to the Neurosciences Department by the South Tees NHS Foundation Trust & Durham University, who will be using the facility for research.
The team for Houghton le Spring Primary Care Centre are celebrating the achievement of BREEAM Outstanding at the Design stage: the first Outstanding awarded for a Health building in the UK. Designed by P+HS, the development for Sunderland Teaching Primary Care Trust is being constructed by Willmott Dixon and is due for completion in Summer 2011.
It's been a while since the last photos, but Ireland Wood Surgery is now fairly well progressed on site. The external rendering is now virtually complete and all the glazing is in place. Coloured Trespa panels will soon be fitted over the timber battens you can see in the bottom image, to complete the external appearance.
