St Paul’s Road

Working for Erimus Housing, P+HS designed a new residential development to replace maisonettes at an unpopular and problematic site.

The new scheme provides a total of 94 dwellings comprising two appartment blocks, one of which is offered specifically for occupancy by the over 55’s. The site also includes two and three bedroom family houses and bungalows for rent, shared ownership and sale.

The contemporary designs compliment the regeneration of the town area and provide affordable quality homes where people want to live.

Sustainability was a key driver in the design. All buildings are of a timber frame construction and a heat recovery system based on exhaust air is used throughout to heat domestic hot water and radiator water. The development achieved level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.

The £9 m development was completed at the end of 2009.
