Alanis Burgess
BA (Hons) MArch
Architectural Designer
Alanis joined P+HS in October 2024 after earning her Master of Architecture with Distinction from Northumbria University. Her MArch dissertation, focused on gender inclusivity in urban planning and policy, received a nomination for the prestigious 2024 RIBA President’s Medal and was adapted into an article featured in The RIBA Journal.  Alanis is a dedicated advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion, within both the profession and the architecture we produce.
Her background spans industry and academia, with experience in teaching, research, and writing. Alanis is actively engaged in the architectural community, holding roles on the RIBA Regional Council, the YAPF committee and as a RIBA Future Architects panellist for the North East. She is excited to apply her skills to projects at P+HS, learn from her colleagues, and work towards her Part 3 qualification.
