Chris Smith

Chris a senior Architectural Technologist whose background includes work in civil engineering, 3D surveying and architecture. His sector experience spans residential, education, retail, and healthcare. An associate member of CIAT (Chartered institute of Architectural Technologists), Chris achieved full chartered membership (MCIAT) in 2022. In 2023 Chris was appointed as one of P+HS Architects' BIM Leads, to provide guidance and support on all BIM matters across the practice.

Since joining P+HS in 2019, Chris has been involved in the technical delivery of a significant ward refurbishment scheme for Newcastle Hospitals Trust, creating a high dependency ward and specialist cardiac and coronary care ward and the Royal Victoria Hospital. Chris has also worked on a range of residential schemes including Phase 4 of Middle Deepdale HA2 for Kebbell Developments, developing high quality family homes for private sale; Stapleford Court, Wansford Avenue, sheltered accommodation for people with learning disabilities as part of Newcastle City Council's Annuity 2; and Longstone Manor, Amble, working with Home Group delivering 185 homes for affordable rent, shared ownership, and outright sale. Developed over several years this scheme straddles a change in building regulations.
