Jessica Newton

After achieving her Part I degree from Newcastle University, Jessica studied for her Masters at Sheffield Hallam in her spare time, going on to complete her Part III back at Newcastle in 2017. Throughout this time she worked for a Newcastle based Practice, gaining valuable experience on residential and mixed use schemes through all projects stages.

Joining P+HS Architects’ Newcastle team in early 2018, Jessica has continued to expand her knowledge in both healthcare and housing. Healthcare schemes include the Ambulatory Care Unit for Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital (NSECH) as well as projects for Wards, Medical Records and GP practices. On the residential side, Jessica has been heavily involved in the Newcastle Annuity schemes (consisting of a total of 13no. sites), for which she has also provided the interior finishes proposals for the apartment blocks (on 5 no. sites). Jessica has also worked on several larger housing development sites in locations such as Newcastle, Carlisle and Middle Deepdale.

Jessica is Chair of the National Association of Women in Construction North East region (NAWIC NE) which encourages individuals to pursue, establish and sustain successful careers in the Construction Industry. As part of this, Jessica is actively involved with various regional events, including organising talks with Newcastle University, a tour of Grey’s Monument and career related webinars with inspiring guest speakers.
