Pete Stead

Pete is a highly experienced Chartered Architectural Technologist and Director with specific responsibilities for driving forwards our high standards of technical excellence and best long term value to clients.

Since joining P+HS Architects in 2009, Pete has led the technical delivery of numerous complex healthcare schemes for mental healthcare as well as acute, community and primary care projects. He has also successfully delivered two substantial extra care facilities in North Yorkshire. He became an Associate in 2014, Associate Director 5 years later and Director in April 2021.

Pete was part of the team for the first (and currently only) UK healthcare building to achieve BREEAM Outstanding: the multi-award winning Houghton Primary Care Centre. More recently he has led the delivery team for another award winning scheme: Endcliffe PICU in Sheffield which won Refurbishment Project of the Year at both Design in Mental Health and Healthcare Estates in 2016. Other work includes refurbishment and upgrade work for private acute healthcare facilities for Nuffield Health and a new multi-use community hub and library in York.
