Ray joined the practice in February 2006 and is a senior chartered Architectural Technologist with many years’ experience working on a range of projects, including residential, commercial and healthcare.
Prior to joining P+HS, Ray gained considerable experience on projects including general needs housing, housing for the disabled, extra care accommodation and remodelling of sheltered housing. He has also previously undertaken Planning Supervisor duties and is a member of the Association of Project Safety and a registered CDM co-ordinator.
Ray has since worked as part of our housing teams delivering projects for both housing associations and speculative house builders. Significant projects include five storey timber frame apartments at Ochre Yards Gateshead and the Coatham Links regeneration project where he was also responsible for the Design & Build procurement of the Leisure Centre.
Over the last 6 years Ray has been responsible for delivering architectural services for diverse range of acute healthcare projects as part of the P21 and P21+ procurement for James Cook University Hospital, including the provision of an operating theatre, new & refurbished catheter laboratories, endoscopy reprocessing, radiology replacements, FMRI installation, high dependancy unit and ward reconfigurations, and latterly an IVF facility.
Ray has additional responsibility for delivering and maintaining the Design Risk Management procedures for the Practice.
