Carlisle Making Way for its New Cancer Centre

A redundant 1960s tower block building that has stood empty for several years has been completely flattened, making way for a new £35m oncology centre.

This is a key milestone for the project team who are now looking forward to pushing ahead with the next stage of development.

When completed the new outpatient facility will house new technology and bring radiotherapy and chemotherapy services, which are currently in separate parts of the hospital site, together.
