Fortis Developments' resubmitted plans for a residential scheme at Furness Quay have been unanimously approved by the planners, subject to the execution of a section 106 agreement. The development, to be known as Fortis Quay, will provide over 750 luxury apartments in the hugely popular Salford Quays area.
P+HS Architects are delighted to be working with the contractor Beaumont Morgan as part of the delivery team for this exciting development of high rise apartments.
Fortis Quay will include a gym for its residents, on site concierge and car parking, as well as extensive grounds with landscaped avenues, a neighbourhood square, recreational space and children’s play areas.
Appointed from RIBA Stage 3, P+HS will provide architectural services for two new blocks: Northill (the tallest at 27 storeys) and Grapnel (12 storeys) in total creating over 530 high specification apartments. A further two existing multi storey buildings on the site are being converted and extended by Box Architects. Mott McDonald and ELLUC Projects are structural engineers for the projects, Services engineering is from FHP and BWB with landscape design by DEP. Beaumont Morgan will start work in the summer with a projected completion date of 2019.
Chris Dennis, P+HS Architects' Director of Housing commented "We are delighted that Beaumont Morgan have been given the green light on their Fortis Quay development and to be appointed as part of their delivery team. We have seen a huge upsurge in activity in the housing sector over recent months and to be selected for this technically challenging, flagship scheme is testament to the strength and capability of our residential teams."
