Leeds Vs Stokesley Football Match

Two of our four offices went head to head this week in a friendly-competitive football match! It's always great to see our team having fun outside of the office, building relationships and skills.

Over the next few months, our team are planning matches in familiar locations to keep the competition rolling. The only question is: which office will come out on top?

Leeds started this match strong, dominating possession and racing into a 5-0 lead. Paul Hill, a Technologist in Stokesley, was said to have made some amazing saves which stopped Banaris, a valued member of our admin team, on at least five separate occasions.

With the score at 5-0, Leeds then decided to rotate their team around, to try and alter some tactics as the team were experiencing some fatigue due to high temperatures in Leeds. These said changes in tactics, allowed Stokesley to come back into the game and take the opportunity to fight back. The score at half time break was Leeds 7, Stokesley 4.

Game captains, Banaris and Sam, gave their respective team talks to push towards a strong finish. With 5 minutes left and the score very close, the Stokesley team rallied and tried a late comeback, but Leeds defended with their lives and the game finished 11-7 to Leeds.

Leeds may have been victorious on this occasion but a rematch is in discussion and will be hosted in Middlesbrough. Dates and times are yet to be confirmed.

All jokes aside, a victory for one office is a victory for all. Well done to all those involved, its great to see such games taking place. #oneteam
