London Marathon: Our Winner

We are all super proud of our Graphics Visualiser Sara who completed the London Marathon at the weekend. With an amazing time of 4 hours 22 mins, Sara explained how she got there:

"I started running last January and did my first 5k and 10k that spring followed with a local half marathon in the autumn. After being inspired from individuals last year I entered the VLM 2019 ballot in April (well before I could even run 12 miles) and received an acceptance letter in October, and have been training ever since. This year between Jan- April I’ve run 428 miles in preparation for the ‘big event’.

Anyone can do this you just have to put in the leg work. Some training runs involved 10 miles at 5.30 am before work. Fortunately I work within a team who have listened to me ramble on about this event ever since I was accepted. It helps to work amongst individuals who have all achieved their own amazing challenges from walking,cycling and running."
