A new document: Testing Guidance for Products in Mental Health Facilities has been published by the BRE and DiMHN (Design in Mental Health Network).
The culmination of 5 years work, with P+HS Architects as just one of over 60 contributors, this importance guidance provides testing methodologies for materials, fixtures and hardware that have been specifically designed for use within mental healthcare facilities. It brings together the many disparate requirements for these products into one document, enabling suitably qualified experts to choose the most appropriate product.
It will form the basic test methodology for a new certification scheme to be run by BRE Global Limited.
