Our Supercharged Staff!
18 July 2019
We never cease to be amazed by some of the challenges that our staff set themselves outside of work.
The latest one was Steve Hatcher who not only undertook the gruelling "Fan Dance" but won it! The race follows a route used as one of the tests for soldiers undertaking the selection course for the SAS. It's 15 miles long and involves climbing the highest mountain in South Wales, Pen Y Fan: not once, but twice!
The race has two main categories, load bearing which simulates the real SAS test in which competitors carry at least 35lbs of equipment in a rucksack and then a lightweight running event where only minimum safety kit is carried. Steve won the the load bearing category in 2017 and this year settled for winning the lightweight one. Still an awesome achievement.
Well done Steve!
