P+HS Architects Celebrate Another Successful Year
P+HS Architects Celebrate Another Successful Year
18 October 2023
There was plenty to celebrate at P+HS Architects' AGM this week.
Held in Newcastle's historic Common Room, colleagues from all three offices came together to celebrate successes and enjoy some social time as one team.
A range of presentations from colleagues across the practice captured a well-rounded picture of the practice over the last 12 months.
Chris Dennis highlighted another successful year which, despite turbulent times in construction, saw a very busy P+HS again exceeding target and continuing expansion with 19 new additions to the team across all offices. Thanking the team, Chris said: "We have a great team and remain ambitious; the business is progressive, continuing to invest in innovation and maintaining a great reputation.
Associate and Healthcare Lead Tom Potter gave a highly entertaining, fact-filled presentation covering completed projects as well as team and individual successes, in the process acknowledging every single colleague - pretty impressive given there are now around 100 of us! The summary of achievements and project completions (over 60) was a good reminder of just how much we have to celebrate.
The team also enjoyed a showcase of work from 12 of our brilliant architectural students, a presentation from Sustainability Leads Laura Bell and David Keogh and a truly brave and inspiring presentation by one of our Directors, Pete Stead on his own mental health experiences. Finally, Phil Bentley reminded us of our approaching anniversary – 40 years next year! Party plans and celebrations are in the making..!
All in all, it was a great evening, fittingly summed up by our MD, Chris said:
"It has been another strong year. The challenge for all of us is to keep up the great work. I'm afraid it doesn't get any easier, but we have a great team with fantastic projects, clients and opportunities. Here's to the next 12 months and our fortieth year!"
