Planning Application for Lifetime Neighbourhood in Amble

P+HS are proud to announce that we have made a planning application to Northumberland County Council for a Lifetime Neighbourhood in Amble. We will keep you updated on progress.

Housed close to Amble’s bustling town centre this proposed development includes 98 units of varying types to create a Lifetime Neighbourhood, enhancing the existing local town. A government initiative developed to tackle the increased longevity of our current population, Lifetime Neighbourhoods recognise the importance of ‘neighbourhood’ principles in enhancing well-being in later life and supporting independence as people and communities continue their journey through life. Ensuring that the needs of all can be meet within the local community, reducing the requirement for those with higher dependency needs to have to leave the village or town they live in.

A mix of building typologies have been created to attract varying tenure groups including a 58 no. (1-bed and 2-bed) apartment block which offers Independent Supported Living accommodation, with staff and living facilities. Surrounded by 40 2-and 3-bedroom homes, which can be utilised by both families and right-sizer’s, catering to the varying needs of those in Amble.
