Planning Approval for new Community Diagnostics Centre in Workington

P+HS are proud to announce that planning has been approved for a new Community Diagnostics Centre in Workington, Cumbria.

The two-storey building will provide diagnostics services, including MRI, CT, X-Ray and services such as ultrasound and lung function testing. The key focus is on prevention for patients to avoid them becoming unwell, building services together in our communities and to a high standard of quality, sustainable care. As well as targeting BREEAM Excellent, the design criteria focuses on placemaking with a contemporary material palette that references the surrounding context and site constraints, which aids with legibility and wayfinding.

Working closely with North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, alongside a comprehensive team of consultants, the proposals have been developed by P+HS to accommodate a new, purpose-built facility, to help reduce wait lists and provide a much-needed community asset in a suitable location.
