Proud to Celebrate Excellence Within our Team

In early October, all four of our offices came together for our annual meeting, a time to celebrate our successes and share our goals for the coming year. As always, it was a great evening for everyone. Celebrating the accomplishments of P+HS and recognising the efforts of each individual is extremely important to us. At the heart of our success are our people. We believe that when individuals feel great in their roles and empowered to take ownership of their contributions, it not only enhances their personal growth but also drives the company forward.

It was also an opportunity for many of us to say our farewells to former Managing Director, Chris Dennis. While we bid him goodbye in this capacity, we are grateful that he will remain a valuable consultant for the foreseeable future. As one door closes, another opens, making space for the newly appointed Managing Director, James Almond to step into leadership, and will no doubt lead us towards new opportunities and continued growth.

Presentations from various areas of the business took place throughout the evening, offering valuable insights and updates. These included reports from studio principals, a celebration of our 40-year milestone, marketing updates, sector-specific news, and student achievements. Additionally, we had a timely refresh on the importance of mental health in the workplace, reinforcing our commitment to creating a supportive and healthy work environment.

This year has certainly been memorable, with the retirements of long standing team members, a new office in Manchester, changes with board responsibility, the addition of 17 new team members, a new appointed MD, and the assignation of new team leaders. With many exciting projects on the horizon, we are making key changes to support the continued growth and success of the company.

At P+HS we are committed to recognising the invaluable efforts of our team members and we are extremely proud to have an exceptionally talented and devoted team.  The hard work and dedication of our employees are essential to achieving our goals, we are proud to be able to announce a series of promotions.

Team leaders are an essential element of our internal structure and provide strength within our divisions. We are proud to announce that Dariana Nistor in our Leeds branch, Louise Drew in Newcastle and Mark Heron in Stokesley will now provide leadership within their teams. We look forward to seeing the positive impact their leadership will bring.

The prospect of promotion doesn’t stop there, as other notable changes are also taking place among our senior members. These shifts reflect the ongoing growth at P+HS, as we continue to place strong, capable individuals in key positions.

Steven Hatcher 2

Associate Steve Hatcher has now been promoted to Associate Director, bringing nearly 17 years of dedicated service to the team. Those who know Steve will attest to his strong work ethic and unwavering reliability. Steve is an invaluable asset to P+HS and we are excited to see how he will continue to excel in his new role and contribute to our collective success.

Hen AGM 01 2

Senior Architect and Residential Lead, Henrietta Pissarro has been a valued member of the team since 2017. She brings a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and expertise to every project, enhancing our design approach and ensuring each project is executed to the highest of standards. As of September 2024, Henrietta will act as Associate and support the growth of the Newcastle office, providing essential support to management across the practice.

Lauren Sturman 16

Lauren Sturman, formerly responsible for overseeing the administrative functions across all four offices, has been promoted to Business Support Manager; her hard work and commitment to P+HS have not gone unnoticed. In her new role, Lauren will focus on providing direct support to our board of directors, and will build strong relationships with all of the business functions to ensure smooth operations and communication. We have no doubt that Lauren will excel in this new role, and bring fresh ideas and capability.

Paul Mc Neil 1

In August, our Stokesley branch said farewell to Associate and Studio Principal Angela Rossi, creating an opportunity for another capable team member to step into the role. We are proud to announce that Paul McNeil is the perfect fit for the position. Paul already contributes significantly to the positive environment at the Stokesley office, and we are confident he will continue to support and enhance the P+HS culture. In his new role, Paul will assist Studio Principals in other offices, manage operational efficiency, and assess recruitment and development needs across the team.
