Serenity Suite Starting on Site

A new facility at Doncaster Royal Infirmary's Women & Children's building is set to start on site today. A fundraising appeal launched by healthcare professionals at the Trust will see the creation of a new bespoke facility to support families following the loss of a pregnancy.

The 'Serenity Suite' has been designed to provide a dedicated space for families who have experienced a bereavement. A quiet, self contained unit with bed, kitchen and bathroom, the suite will provide a private homely space where families can spend time together at a highly sensitive time.

During the design development, the P+HS team produced a video walkthrough of the new space to help potential donors visualise the proposals and were delighted when this resulted in additional funding for the new facility.
