Sustainability Lead Appointed

Chris R

Sustainability Lead Appointed

As teams return to office life and new ways of working, P+HS Architects continues to look to the future.

We have always considered our environmental impact both operationally as a business and from a project perspective - as far back as 2010 we designed the first NHS building to achieve BREEAM Outstanding for Houghton Primary Care Centre. Now as part of our ongoing commitment to reducing carbon and looking to the RIBA 2025 targets we have invested in strengthening our knowledge of approaches to environmentally sustainable construction.

Having achieved Passivhaus certification we are delighted to announce that Chris Robertson has been appointed as the first of our Sustainability Leads across the practice. Chris’s passion for promoting a green agenda will see him working across all 3 offices to share his knowledge and develop standard policies for the business which enable the practice to offer our clients not only current advice but future solutions to addressing our world’s climate challenges.

Commenting on the appointment, MD Chris Dennis said: "We are delighted to see Chris stepping into our first Sustainability Role for the Practice. Chris has demonstrated a great commitment and passion for sustainability in construction since joining the practice. Since then he has gone on to achieve Passivhaus accreditation and we are delighted to be able to create a platform in the shape of Sustainability Lead for Chris to develop and share his knowledge as P+HS continues to take an active role in the climate change agenda."
