New Affordable Homes Handed Over at West Denton

Two of our senior Newcastle team attended a milestone event at one of our residential developments recently.

Katie Shepherd and Nathan Sanders celebrated the handover of the first phase of affordable homes at West Denton alongside Karbon Homes and Adderstone Living last month.

This high quality affordable housing scheme is designed to meet the needs of local residents and create a safe and desirable place to live. With 45 new homes (a mix of 2, 3 & 4 beds) the development will meet a range of local needs on a site with good connections to neighbouring amenities and schools.

The MD of affordable homes builder Adderstone Living Stephen McCoy, said: “It’s great to see this phase of our latest affordable homes project reach completion and handed over to Karbon Homes. The sustainable design, construction and placemaking we have built in are key to realising the development’s scope and vision, making it suitable for homeowners with a wide variety of needs. We are incredibly proud of what we have delivered for our client, and the local community.”

Like many parts of the UK, there is a huge need for affordable homes in Newcastle. The properties at West Denton, available for affordable rent, shared ownership and Rent-to-Buy, will go some way to meeting this demand in the region.

Henrietta Pissarro, Senior Architect at P+HS, said: “It’s fantastic news that we have reached first handovers. This is another successful design-led residential scheme, with new homes of the highest quality and a strong sustainable focus to reflect more accurately how we live today and expect to live in the years to come.”
