West Hull Health Hub is Clinician's Choice

We were delighted to be be part of the Building Better Healthcare Awards this week and it's always nice to come away with a win!

West Hull Health Hub was named joint winner along with Gilling Dod's Red Kite View in the special award category of Clinician's Choice. Judge Dr Peter Carter said "Integrated community care hubs are the way forward for the NHS, and this development is setting a precedent for how these should look." Staff and patients were heavily involved in the design of the new Health Hub, resulting in a building Dr Carter described as "wonderful". Designed for the future, with capacity to expand and flex in response to changing healthcare needs, the new development means that high quality modern healthcare services are available where they are needed, at the heart of the community.

Our team also celebrated another wonderful scheme: The Northern Centre for Cancer Care shortlisted in two of the most hotly contested categories at the awards - Best Healthcare Development (UK value over £10m) and Best Interior Design Project (New Build). Making the final cut at BBH was a huge achievement for Carlisle's new Cancer Centre and everyone involved should be immensely proud.
