Work has started on site at Swanland Road, Helmsley for Wharfedale Homes.

Following completion of a highly successful residential development at Linkfoot Lane in Helmsley, work is now underway around the corner, at Swanland Road, to provide a further 61 homes for the growing community in this popular North Yorkshire market town.

Swanland Park is designed to appeal to a range of occupants with a choice of dwellings from 1-bed apartments to 5-bed detached homes. The collection of high-quality stone new-build houses will be completed in three phases. Wharfedale Homes Director Chris Patmore said: “We have spent nearly ten years working through the planning system to be able to bring this site forward. We have worked closely with the local community, the Helmsley Estate, National Park Planning Officers and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park Committee to create a superb development which is worthy of its very special location.”

Although traditional on the outside, inside the new Swanland Park new-build homes offer modern, open-plan living with bi-folding doors opening onto gardens, bringing together indoor and outdoor spaces.

The project is already proving popular with 9 out of the first 15 dwellings currently reserved.
