Crofton Academy was developed to provide a vibrant, contemporary sixth form building with its own identity, differentiating it from the existing school and appealing to prospective students.
We used a modular approach to minimise disruption to the school and create an efficient construction programme. The two-storey building contains teaching spaces, social areas, small study rooms and welfare facilities. The team grouped teaching spaces around social areas to create a space efficient layout.
