A development by Broadacres Housing Association in conjunction with Equans, for a new scheme of affordable homes in Sowerby on the outskirts of Thirsk.
A total of 97 new homes are being built at the Sowerby Gateway site addressing the shortage of affordable homes in the area and providing a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes, including apartments, bungalows, and family homes. 59 will be available for affordable rent to people with a connection to the local area with the remaining 38 for shared ownership.

Construction still underway at the top half of the site, but many dwellings are completed, occupied and looking great!

Our May site visit showed the site approaching handover and it's looking fantastic! As well as the projecting brickwork (see February's entry below), notable features include anthracite windows and doors, feature chimneys and air source heat pumps. Just awaiting the door canopies and grass and fencing and we're almost there!
